Port of Antwerp

Inland transport order

Used by the forwarder or ship's agent to send a transport order to a carrier electronically. The carrier in turn can send the order quickly and easily to the onboard computer on the barge or truck.

The ship's agent or forwarder gives a transport order for inland transport to or from the port.

How does it work?

The party giving the order sends an IFTMIN message to the carrier's planning system. The carrier (road, rail or barge operator) can send a message from this system to the truck, train or barge onboard computer.
