Content of the message
There are many variants of the INVOIC that are commonly used, and so there have to be clear agreements with the other party in the supply chain in order to avoid misunderstandings. One commonly used specification is “BMF 100”, which has been expanded to “BMF100+” by the company Isabel NV.
The more recent “EBL100” specification, based on the INVOIC message in the EANCOM® 2002-standard, lays down how and where all the legally required information has to appear in the message.
