English curriculum for postgraduate Internet of Things
As of next academic year (2018-2019) the new postgraduate course in the Internet of Things (IoT) will also be offered in English as well as Dutch. This qualification for IoT experts is a joint initiative by the University of Antwerp, the University of Ghent and the Free University of Brussels.
In the meantime, Antwerp Port Authority is collaborating with the City of Antwerp, the University of Antwerp and the IMEC research centre on development of a Capital of Things. One good example of this is the digital platform for safe, efficient release of containers on the terminal.
With the Capital of Things the four parties seek to build up an ambitious and distinctive ecosystem based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This ecosystem comprises a dense innovation network in which value is created by synergy among training, research, living labs, venture capital, corporates and international brands.
