Container loading/unloading order (barge/rail transport)
Used to quickly and easily provide the terminal operator with all details of the loading or unloading order for a barge operator.
The container loading/unloading order ensures transparent communication concerning the number of containers to be collected and the time of collection.
How does it work?
The barge operator sends a COPINO message to the terminal operator with all the details of the containers to be loaded or unloaded. After handling, the terminal operator sends a CODECO message confirming that the containers have actually been loaded or unloaded. This permits shorter turnaround time on the terminal together with a precise estimate of the manpower and equipment needed.
