Container release
Used by the terminal operator to receive a PIN code for each container consignment that is unloaded and released, enabling the consignment to be collected by the carrier without loss of time.
The Container Release message constitutes commercial release of a container. Only then can the terminal operator load the containers onto the truck, rail truck or barge.
How does it work?
The ship's agent sends a COREOR message to the terminal and the consignee, with details of the container and a PIN code.
Instead of sending an EDI message it is also possible for this to be done by manual entry in the web portal of the terminal operator.
