Shipment instruction (B/L)
Used to provide the ship's agent with all the necessary information for drawing up the transport document, on the basis of the shipper's information, thanks to the electronic shipment instruction.
The shipment instruction is used by the forwarder to provide basic information for drawing up the bill of lading. The forwarder gathers this information from the orders received from the shipper.
How does it work?
The forwarder sends an IFTMIN message to the ship's agent with the basic information necessary to draw up the transport document. Forwarders who do not have their own ERP system can make use of the INTTRA e-portal.
